Build strategy

Start With the Infrastructure Already Built

Financial businesses generally build a complete stack internally, assemble multiple vendors and maintain the integrations, or use SAMF Core as the underlying financial infrastructure.

01

Build internally

Design, develop and maintain an entire financial technology stack, provider layer and operational environment.

02

Assemble multiple vendors

Connect separate banking, payment, card, crypto, compliance and operational systems, then maintain the integrations.

03

Start with SAMF Core

Use existing financial infrastructure as the foundation, then configure, integrate and extend it around your business.

The SAMF Core foundation

Existing financial infrastructure
Unified operational environment
White-label capability
API-driven integration framework
Customer-controlled infrastructure options
Perpetual licensing available
Source-code option available
Freedom to change external providers
Ability to modify and extend under the applicable licence

Control without vendor lock-in

Your Infrastructure. Your Customers. Your Future.

SAMF Core is available under licensing models designed for institutions that want long-term control over critical financial infrastructure.

Perpetual Licensing

Long-term rights without an indefinite software subscription.

Source Code Available

Full source-code licensing for customers seeking maximum technical independence.

Your Infrastructure

Deploy within infrastructure controlled by your organisation or appointed infrastructure provider.

Provider Independence

Choose the banking, payment, card, KYC/KYB, AML, custody and other external providers appropriate to your deployment.

Maintenance Freedom

No mandatory Swiss AMF maintenance contract. Source-code customers may maintain SAMF Core internally or through their chosen development partner.

No Forced Upgrades

Perpetual usage rights do not depend upon continually purchasing new major SAMF Core versions.

Maintenance freedom

Choose Who Maintains Your Platform

SAMF Core does not require perpetual-license customers to enter into a mandatory ongoing Swiss AMF maintenance contract. Depending on the licence selected, customers may use Swiss AMF, their internal technology team or an appointed third-party development provider.

No mandatory Swiss AMF maintenance contract.

Perpetual Licence + Full Source Code: maintain SAMF Core internally, appoint your preferred development partner, or engage Swiss AMF separately.

The strongest independent maintenance and modification rights apply to the Full Source Code licence. A perpetual licence without source code does not carry the same development rights.

Swiss AMF updates, support, development work and implementation services are not automatically included and are contracted separately where required.

Perpetual licensing

No Forced Major-Version Upgrades

Perpetual-license customers may continue operating the SAMF Core version they have licensed without being required to purchase or migrate to a new major SAMF Core version merely to preserve their perpetual usage rights.

Continued operation may depend on customer infrastructure, security requirements, regulatory requirements and compatibility with third-party providers, APIs and technologies. New SAMF Core versions, updates and support may be subject to separate commercial terms.

Third-party development freedom

Use Your Own Development Team

Customers with a Full Source Code licence may allow their employees and appointed third-party developers to access and work on SAMF Core solely for the purpose of developing, maintaining and supporting that customer's licensed SAMF Core deployment.

This does not give the third-party developer any independent right to use, commercialise, sublicense, distribute or retain SAMF Core for unrelated purposes.

Full source code

  • Internal developer access
  • Appointed third-party developer access
  • Independent maintenance
  • Independent modification
  • Independent development of the licensed deployment

Not included

  • Resale rights
  • Sublicensing rights
  • Redistribution rights
  • Independent use by the development provider
  • Commercialisation of SAMF Core for unrelated third parties

Resale, sublicensing, redistribution and third-party BaaS/platform commercialisation require a separately negotiated commercial licence. Source-code access does not transfer ownership of SAMF Core intellectual property.

No penalty for growth.

Perpetual SAMF Core licences include unlimited end customers within the licensed business scope. There is no SAMF Core per-user licensing and no SAMF Core transaction-volume licensing.

Third-party infrastructure, hosting, banking, card, payment, KYC, blockchain, custody, processing and transaction charges may apply separately.

Capabilities, licensing structures and commercial models vary by provider. SAMF Core's provider-independent architecture enables customer choice; provider selection, contracting, configuration and connection form part of each deployment. This comparison illustrates common market structures and is not intended to describe every competing platform.

Perpetual licence value

Own the Long-Term Right, Not Another Subscription.

A perpetual SAMF Core licence gives your company permanent usage rights that remain with the licensed business. Instead of paying indefinitely simply to preserve access, the company invests in a long-term technology right that can remain part of the business—including through a future sale or change of control of the licensed entity, subject to the licence agreement.

Permanent Usage Rights

The licensed company retains the right to use SAMF Core within the agreed licence scope without needing to renew an annual SAMF Core software subscription.

Long-Term Technology Value

A perpetual software licence can form part of the company’s intangible technology assets, subject to the applicable accounting framework and accounting treatment.

Value Remains With the Business

The licence remains with the licensed legal entity through an ordinary change of ownership, subject to the definitive licence agreement.

Licence configurator

Configure Your SAMF Core Licence

Select the rights your organisation needs and receive an immediate indicative licence price.

Choose the external providers appropriate to your deployment. SAMF Core provides the software infrastructure and integration framework; provider selection, contracting and connection are addressed separately unless expressly included in the proposal.

01 — Licence term

A long-term company asset

Unlike a recurring annual licence, a perpetual SAMF Core licence gives the licensed company permanent usage rights. Those rights remain with the business and can continue following a future sale or change of control, subject to the licence agreement.

  • Permanent usage rights
  • No indefinite SAMF Core software subscription
  • Licence remains with the licensed company
  • Can form part of the company’s intangible technology assets
02 — Source code

Do you require full SAMF Core source code?

03 — Legal entities

One named legal entity is included. Each additional entity is CHF 50,000.

04 — End customers

Unlimited End Customers — Included FREE

Your SAMF Core licence does not become more expensive simply because your customer base grows.

05 — White-label brands

How many customer-facing white-label brands will operate under your licensed financial-services business?

Independent third-party businesses operating on SAMF Core require separate commercial terms.

06 — Operating territory

Where will the licensed SAMF Core deployment operate?

Global geographic rights do not automatically license additional companies. A single licensed company with Global rights may use its licensed SAMF Core deployment internationally. Its subsidiaries, sister companies, parent companies and other separate legal entities are not automatically licensed. Additional legal entities remain subject to the legal-entity pricing under Step 3.

Territorial licensing defines the geographic scope of the SAMF Core software licence. It does not constitute regulatory authorisation or guarantee third-party onboarding, approval or the availability of banking, payment, card, custody, KYC/KYB, blockchain or other external services in any jurisdiction. Provider contracts, implementation work and charges are separate unless expressly stated otherwise.

07 — Commercial use rights

How will SAMF Core be used?

Licence questions

What the Licence Means

The definitive licence agreement governs the precise rights, scope and obligations for each deployment.

Next step

You Do Not Need to Build the Infrastructure Again.

If SAMF Core already provides the foundation your institution needs, the next step is to determine the right deployment and licence structure.

Perpetual licensing. Source-code options. Unlimited end customers. Infrastructure you can build your business around.
